Employers will now select mediocre men over excellently qualified women because of the risk.

The more attractive they are the less likely they are to be offered a position.

That's only 3. There's dozens of studies, all with different methodologies and all claiming different findings. And not a single replication study among them.

There are two competing factors:

- Most HR departments and corporate policies favor "diversity", i.e. more women.

- The threat of a false rape accusation can ruin your career and even possible jail time.  Seeing someone else burned (or getting burned once) makes someone reluctant.

This is a Psychology Professor citing a Motivational Speaker's claims as a source. Showing how professional and scientific the field of Psychology is.

She does cite one backup source, a 2007 study:

She totally misstates the study, typical.

What the study actually found is "Reactions to sexual harassment complainants were expected to be less favorable when the complainant was male than when the complainant was female. Results for the complainants of sexual harassment confirmed that men were believed less, liked less, and punished more than women. Furthermore, the tendency to believe and like female complainants more than male complainants was stronger when complainants were physically attractive."

New "study" on this, in a medical journal.

I put study in quotes because although it's in a prestigious peer reviewed journal, the authors are all women, and rather than cite evidence they just talk about their feelings about how men are oppressing them by not mentoring them enough.

It's a fucking opinion article published in a medical journal as a study!

This proves that there are lower standards for women because they simply can't perform on the same level as men.
