I thought they would let Cleveland win a game. It's embarrassing for the NBA when its marquee event is so one-sided. TV ratings were decent, however.
Cleveland is ruined. They have a bunch of mediocre players signed to big contracts (because they were friends of LeBron). Those contracts are untradable. LeBron is leaving as a free agent, leaving the team rebuilding and one of the worst in the NBA.

The problem for LeBron's new team is that he's at the age where elite athletes start to decline a lot.
It doesn't make sense for a franchise to mortgage its future and sign LeBron's friends to bad contracts, if he's only going to be an above-average player.

I think it would be much more embarrassing if that did happen and then fans somehow learned that those games are no more real or legitimate than pro wrestling matches.
