Sadly, I'm not surprised. He was a former drug addict.

I wonder if he'll turn out to have been on SSRIs?

Holy fuck, this is sad. I really liked the guy. Suicide? He always came off so self-resolved on camera.

I seem to remember him talking about depression.

He had a daughter and a hot girlfriend who both apparently loved him very much. To me he seems like he had the world on a string. To me he's a sort of midlife role model - it's OK to be real, gruff, sarcastic and call out bullshit and lies.

I wonder if he knew something was going on. Like he was about to get nailed on the #metoo cancer to society.

Alex Jones is already saying it was a conspiracy and that he was murdered.

Bourdain was an amazing guy. Took up Jiujitsu and started winning awards as a senior citizen.

He was actively in the middle of a big project when he died, plus there was no note. Plus he had recently amassed powerful enemies like Harvey Weinstein who have organized crime contacts and are known to hire professionals to take out enemies.

This was a hit.

Karen Reynolds, director of CNN PR and Bourdain’s longtime publicist for Parts Unknown:

"It’s such a shock we don’t know where this is coming from, how this could possibly happen. When I was working with him last week he was giddy. He was effusive and happy about the Hong Kong episode that was all he could talk about weeks leading up to it, how it was like a high water mark for him. He was so happy. I didn’t talk to him this week but all I know was he was so happy last week. I mean giddy. He was texting me and emailing me which he doesn’t normally do about publicity for episodes but he was like, ‘This is a high water mark, this is the best thing I’ve ever done.’ He was so excited to be working with Christopher Doyle. I saw nothing that would indicate what happened like why this would happen. We’re just floored. A complete shock."

So the Jones theory mentions his criticism of Weinstein. And in particular that he attacked Hillary Clinton for supporting Weinstein.

But he says that after tweeting that theory he got a tip from someone at SpaceX. Bourdain had met with Musk and others recently and discussed a global conspiracy. Bourdain was going to blow open the conspiracy publicly, using his fame and credibility as leverage.

That is very interesting and unusually specific.

Jones though does not have any credibility in my opinion. But we should keep an eye out for statements by Musk. Not sure what this "great awakening" is that Jones mentions, or how Kanye fits in. Doesn't Kanye support Trump and Bourdain dislikes Trump?

Jones says Musk may be killed next.

BTW, I have it on good authority that the "suicide" of Aaron Swartz, which was this same sort of hanging. Also Kate Spade last week. All the same method. Always with no note, or if there is a note it's not in their handwriting or tone of voice.

If it was a hit, probablty we can rule out MS-13.

If Jones is right wouldn't he be the first to be bumped off?
