RIP Philo

NPR (the radio one)

I listened to it over the past few days.  OMG is it ever full of people claiming victimhood.

If you recall, rapper R. Kelly was acquitted of 14 counts of child pornography. Pretty much via technicalities.

So a group of black women protested his concert in Greensboro, going by the name "Times Up". And one of the leaders was interviewed on NPR.  She called for people to "silence" him, and both Apple & Spotify has done so, removing his music from their service.

But what got really interesting was that she called out the #MeToo movement for ignoring the impact to black women. It wasn't enough that women of all creeds and colors were being molested, she was upset because more attention wasn't being focused on black women.

Uhhh. Ok.

> Critics who accuse singer R. Kelly of sexual misconduct are threatening to stage a protest at his upcoming show in North Carolina if it isn't canceled.

Very reasonable, assuming these same people are also boycotting and protesting Harvey Weinstein films and the artists who made his career.

Are they?
