President Trump’s New Record: The Longest Time Without a Formal Press Conference in Half a Century
Comparably, Barack Obama held seven in his first year in office, while George W. Bush held four.
Here's how everyone else stacked up during their first years in office:
Bill Clinton: 11
George H. W. Bush: 27
Ronald Reagan: 6
Jimmy Carter: 22
Gerald Ford (who only served from August to December in his first year as president): 4
Richard Nixon: 6
This is not to say Trump has addressed the press only once. He often answers questions from reporters in the "pool," a rotation of reporters who follow the president's movements and send the information out to the rest of the press corps. But that is different than a formal press conference, which provide an opportunity for the broader White House press corps to ask their questions.
Carter was letting Iran push us around. He had press conferences telling about the hostages, and letting Iran know how weak he was.
He was driving stagflation to weaken businesses.
He set the thermostats back and wore a sweater indoors to keep warm.
He lost reelection on "Are you better off now than you were four years ago?"
Turd drops turd at Turdberry:
Typical Guardian, they hate Trump.
Looks more likely to be decision by the general manager.
Place has just had an expensive refit.
The stuff stains carpets.
> White House diplomacy has dipped to a new low after it emerged that Donald Trump’s luxury golf resort in Turnberry, Scotland, has banned the sale of Irn-Bru on the premises.
"Diplomacy"?! It was a business decision. Clear bias by the publisher.
Oh, they do, they do,
small hands, river of blood, toy dog Macron
I don't get the eruption thing
>I don't get the eruption thing
The thing on his head is a gold toilet seat.
It's a reference to the Guggenheim gold toilet offer, so the eruption is Trump vomiting shit everywhere.
The BBC report this as:
"Finally, the Guardian reports that White House diplomacy has sunk to a new low with the news that Donald Trump's five-star golf resort on the Ayrshire coast has banned the sale of Irn-Bru.
The ban came to light after guests asked for the bright orange drink to be served at an event, but were told it wouldn't be possible because it might stain the carpets".
No mention of:
The £200m refit
The £500,000 carpet
The general manager
The unusable villas
The BBC reporting on this is even more biased than the Guardian!
In the past the BBC took it's political line directly from the Guardian but in the last year the BBC has shifted much further to the left of the already left Guardian.
Fuck the Guardian
Fuck the BBC
There are daily press briefings with Sanders. The President also has press meetings on a very regular basis, every few days, but it's not in the main press room. In addition to this I've watched about a dozen of the hundred or so official press conferences Trump has given on a variety of subjects. What is interesting about these is I have never seen any articles in the media about the things discussed then, it's completely buried.
So, it's not enough for the MSM to not report on his press conferences. Now they are claiming they don't even exist.
Fuck the lying MSM.
