Y'all are a bunch of wankers!

Is Facebook unbiased?

Zuckerberg had the opportunity on several occasions to openly state that Facebook was committed to being an unbiased platform.

He neglected to do so.

There's a reason for that.

He didn't neglect, he prevaricated, stalled, and changed the subject. Then they asked him again and again, and reminded him that to have DMCA protection they have to be a content neutral platform. He said he wasn't familiar with any of those laws.

They also asked him if Facebook tracks users who are not logged in. He said, "I don't know." Don't know or don't want to say? "Don't know." Don't know don't know, or don't know if you don't know or don't want to say. "Don't know." Did Facebook track people not signed in in the past? "Don't know." Does anyone at Facebook know the answer to this question. "Don't know." Is it possible to determine the answer to this question. "Don't know."

That is textbook contempt of Congress.

You want to pull that shit, plead the fifth.

Does Facebook consider itself a neutral public forum?

We consider ourselves to be a platform for all ideas.

That is not what I asked. Let me ask you again. Does Facebook consider itself a neutral public forum? Representatives of your company have given conflicting answers on this. Are you a neutral public forum allowing everyone to speak?

Here's how we think about this. There is certain content that we do not allow such as hate speech, terrorist threats, nudity. Anything that makes people feel unsafe in the community. That is why we refer to what we do as a platform for all ideas.

Sorry, time here is constrained. The predicate for section 230 immunity under the CDA is that you are a neutral public forum. Do you consider yourself a neutral public forum, or are you engaged in public speech, which is your right under the first amendment.

Our goal is not to engage in political speech. I'm not familiar with the law that you speak to. I would need to follow up with you on that.
