>NBC News, a universally reputable news agency

NBC has had ZERO credibility since the New York Times revealed that the 'retired' generals who were promoting a war in Iraq on NBC were in fact being paid by defence contractors, a fact known to NBC but not mentioned in their news reports:

On NBC and in other public forums, General McCaffrey has consistently advocated wartime policies and spending priorities that are in line with his corporate interests. But those interests are not described to NBC’s viewers. He is held out as a dispassionate expert, not someone who helps companies win contracts related to the wars he discusses on television.

The president of NBC News, Steve Capus, said in an interview that General McCaffrey was a man of honor and achievement who would never let business obligations color his analysis for NBC. He described General McCaffrey as an “independent voice” who had courageously challenged Mr. Rumsfeld, adding, “There’s no open microphone that begins with the Pentagon and ends with him going out over our airwaves.”

General McCaffrey is not required to abide by NBC’s formal conflict-of-interest rules, Mr. Capus said, because he is a consultant, not a news employee.

NBC has just hired Ex-CIA Director John Brennan as a paid contributor.

This is a man who:

Openly advocated torture.
Lied about the efficacy of torture.
Was once a communist sympathiser.
Lied about the CIA spying on the Senate

That is some crazy ass propaganda there.

Voter registration records are PUBLIC RECORDS in all 50 states, by law.

In all states you can buy the list on CD or other forms from the state registrar. In around 20 states, the registration info is available on line for anyone to examine.

Obviously ip addresses from throughout the world look at these databases from time to time. There is nothing unusual or suspicious about that.

So the 20 states that have the info online were found to have been visited at some point by a Russian ip address, along with millions or billions of other inquiries.

There is nothing strange or suspicious about that.

What is absolute bullshit is describing those facts as follows:

"Russians penetrated U.S. voter systems, says top U.S. official"

"We saw a targeting of 21 states and an exceptionally small number of them were actually successfully penetrated."

"2016 was a wake-up call and now it's incumbent upon states and the Feds to do something about it before our democracy is attacked again."

"We were able to determine that the scanning and probing of voter registration databases was coming from the Russian government."

Normal visits to public information on public accessible websites is described as "penetration", "targeting", "attacked", "scanning and probing". All to give any tech ignorant reader the idea that: "Voter systems were hacked, Russians elected Trump by manipulating voting machines. It's true, the top US voting official confirmed it and Snopes says it is TRUE. Not my President!"

At the end of the article we see Homeland Security Chief Jeh Johnson saying voter systems are "critical infrastructure" and the feds should take control of state voting systems. States don't want the feds controlling their votes for obvious reasons - the feds will subvert the democratic process. Johnson propagandizes, saying those state officials are "naive and irresponsible". There's a vague threat here that state voting systems may be taken over by the feds by force, using claims of "russian penetration", the details of which are "classified", as justification for a federal takeover of the voting process.

On the NBC stuff, NBC used to be owned by General Electric, which was the largest US defense contractor at the time.

MSNBC is hugely biased against Trump at a level similar to CNN.

MSNBC is a subsidiary of NBC

How can NBC in any way be considered universally reputable?

This is an old story. There is no evidence that the Russians changed vote totals.

There is no collusion necessary when you have the electoral college.

Liberals blame everything but Hillary's poor campaign.

There is no evidence that Hubble is a pedophile or rapist of black women. Not yet, anyway.

See Hubble? Fuck off with your smear. If there is evidence by all means produce it or dispute the incorrect claim. But don't throw in these inane obnoxious drive-by comments.

Interesting how the story in the MSM seems to have migrated from Russian 'collusion' to 'meddling'.

Dude, I'm the one saying the Russians DID hack the US election machines, but there's no proof yet.

Go fuck your own hobby-horse, this one's mine.

There's a simple way to prevent any hacking of any election machines. Paper ballots, counted by public servants (ie non-partisan), overseen by representatives of all the candidates. Possibly more expensive but certainly more trustworthy.
