Give ne back my hat!

statistics regarding meteorite death

93 people per year die from meteorite deaths.

Your chance of being killed by a meteorite is 1 in 700,000.

These numbers are bandied about by media... and scientists.

Do you believe them?

Perhaps we should ask... how many people have really been killed by meteorites in all of human recorded history?

The answer?

Can you guess?

The number is... wait for it... here it comes... ok now... it's .... zero.

Maybe not many people, but what about dinosaurs?

There was an old show called "Dinosaurs" in which the main character (a dinosaur) bought meteor insurance only to find out that once a meteor enters the atmosphere, it's considered a meteorite.
