Gal Gadot won’t be Wonder Woman unless...

Gal Gadot has announced that she won’t go forward with Wonder Woman 2 unless Warner Brothers cancels its co-financing deal with accused sexual assailant/director Brett Ratner, whose company RatPac Entertainment co-produced, and profited from, the first film. RatPac-Dune, a joint venture with Dune Entertainment, also co-produced Justice League in which Gal Gadot stars.

Ratner has been accused by six women, including Olivia Munn, of sexual harassment and misconduct

Yeah, fuck what is both one of the best superhero movies of all time, but what is literally the only extreme feminist superhero movie, and what is literally also the highest grossing film directed by a woman in history.

Warner Brothers made these official announcements today:

- Gal Gadot never made those threats, that is a slanderous false rumor promoted by notoriously unreliable gossip rag PageSix.

- Warner Brothers was the first to drop Brett Ratner anyway.

Warner Brothers would not comment about this:

- Is RatPac-Dune Entertainment still doing WW2 with Warner Brothers, and if so, is Ratner still affiliated with it.

- Whether they believe Ratner is guilty.

This sex abuse accusation firestorm apocalypse is extremely interesting given that all you have to do is have 3 or more people make accusations, and everyone will unilaterally cut off all contracts with the accused, sans trial, their work in progress will be halted, their films about to be released with be shelved, their career is totally over.

I am wondering if no one will be left standing in the entertainment industry by the time it plays out.

As we know, there is an epidemic of sex abuse by female teachers in the US. No doubt this applies to powerful women in hollywood as well. When will the accusations against the women start, and will they be fired and blacklisted as well, or will excuses be made. Or perhaps, just as black people can not be racist, it will be decided that women can't be rapists because rape = power + privilege + sexual assault and since women don't have power or privilege they simply can not be rapists, even if they hold the guy down with a knife to his throat.

Wonder Woman was sexually assaulting Steve Trevor when they were in that rowboat. He didn't want to sleep with her and she kept pushing him. Because her character had more power than him, he can't really have consented.

Great example.

So, have they pulled her CDs from the shelves?

Withdrawn that movie she was in?

Cancelled her upcoming concerts?

Are her closest friends saying they are utterly shocked and need to grieve the death of their friend since they will never speak to her again and she is dead to them?

Are the shocking revelations of her sex crimes being brought up over and over in every new article about someone else's sex crimes?

Or are women being treated differently.

Madonna is pretty famous for shagging her dancers, I wouldn't be surprised if her name turned up.

In the biopic of her early career they show her deliberately sleeping with her drummer just to get him fired.
