Trump has ratcheted up his criticism of China’s massive trade

Ross was speaking at a signing ceremony in the Chinese capital for commercial deals worth about $9 billion on Trump’s visit.

Trump has ratcheted up his criticism of China’s massive trade surplus with the U.S. - calling it “embarrassing” and “horrible” last week - and has accused Beijing of unfair trade practices, fuelling worries of increased tension between the world’s two largest trading countries.

Well it's simple really.

Chinese products for American consumers are affordable.

Now, if we had more jobs, then Americans would be better paid, and would be able to pay higher prices for AMERICAN products.

But to do that, he'd have to reverse this "race to the bottom" approach toward crippling Unions, firing immigrants, cutting taxes on businesses and profits.  Actually raising taxes on the wealthy by a percent or two, in order to pay for American workers.

But he's not going to do any of that.

Chinese products are cheaper because China allows its workers to be exploited and its environment to be destroyed.

So, is the solution to ship American workers to China, so they can be similarly abused?  Or is the solution to abuse American workers so that our wages and conditions are the same as China?  Apparently that's Trump's solution.

Or is the solution to put so many taxes on the Chinese products, that the American consumer is victimized?

What to do, what to do.
