Intel runs a secret OS on its chip. It's a parallel OS. lol
I prefer AMD chips even though they are slower because they don't have this weird shit going on.
I used to run Minix years ago, before Linux existed. Decent OS.
Tanenbaum says that Minix in every Intel chip means "that makes MINIX the most widely used computer operating system in the world, even more than Windows, Linux, or MacOS".
Yeah, he's right about that one.
Also interesting that his decision NOT to use the GPL caused this to happen. GPL is toxic for secret nefarious projects.
This is a good summary of the situation.
Doesn't it also have some secret backdoor code that spies on you?

Minix, what the flying fuck? That's the OS that Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer used when they were entertainers. Well, that's the time frame when I learned about it. It was supposed to be able to run comfortably on processors that ran DOS.
Saw this last week on several places, but it seems like very old news, and there is nothing you can do about it.
Just assume everything you do on a computer is compromised, unless it is totally disconnected.

Secret copy of CP/M
