I keep hearing about this Geocities thing. Maybe some day I will try it.

Have you eaten everything on this list yet?

Pho is awesome.

Everything on that page looks fantastic.

I've only had a few of them.

I'm happy to see there's zero french or american influenced cuisine.

#17 is coffee with some whipped up egg white? I have no idea they invent some new stuff that doesn't sound good.

#35 is bastardized French in Vietnamese for steak.

Here is an actual sales site for Vietnamese Weasel coffee, made from the dung of wild coffee eating weasels. Weasel coffee has been drunk for one thousand years in Vietnam.

According to sales copy:

Also by this “caging action” of farmers, Weasel coffee meets a lot of controversy. Cruel? I would love to write the word NO on my hand and punch some misinformed bloggers in the face. This is so NOT cruelty. Let me ask you this, do you love your dogs? Do you feed them? Do you keep them in the house in order to prevent them from running off? Yes you do, you do that for your cats, for your parrots, for your fishes, for YOUR DEAR PETS.

Then, do you eat pork? Do you eat beef? Do you eat chicken? Yes they are animals, you killed them by your protein demand and you eat them! Why a sashimi cooker never got into any trouble of something so called “cruelty free” but us? Who comes from the 3rd world country? Don’t act like feminist like that, please.

We DON’T kill weasel

We DON’T beat them

We DON’T slay them alive

We DON’T eat them

We do nothing to them but FEED them, PROTECT them from the threats of lessening habitats and help them MAINTAIN its breeds.

This is not cruel, this is so so so not cruel, don’t judging 3rd world countries like a savage and uncivilized tribe, or I will have to call you Jon Snow.

He owns and operates a top coffee growing, roasting, packaging and distributing company specializing in a 1000 yr old variety of Vietnamese coffee.

Shylock you have a problem with him and want to call him a liar, why don't you go bring it up with him in person?

WorldRoverski, what will happen when Shylock visits and calls him a liar?

And what if Shylock says the weasels are being abused?

I think Shylock will be punched and then locked up in weasel cage. He won't be able to claim POW status however.

Then he will be granted a status: re-education camp attendee. It is like a communist paradise where attendees are starved, beaten, shot, and tortured.

I think they do send attendees to vacation like places in North Korea.

AFAIK then French introduced coffee to Vietnam.

Didn't we have this discussion before?

The expert in Vietnamese coffee who actually lives and works there and whose family has been there for 10,000 years says that the French brought commercial coffee plantations manned by slave labor and produced product too expensive for hapless native slaves. He says that for 1000 years before this, locals have enjoyed weasel coffee, collected by weasels from wild native coffee.

"then locked up in weasel cage"

To be fair though, they are very large weasel cages with native fauna inside and the weasels have toys and are well fed. Is that your understanding as well?
