Mean, sick, and poor is no way to go through life, son.

Senators are drawing the daggers around Caesar

McCain is not generally viewed in high regard, if he had his way we'd have started WW3 by now.

Doesn't matter. What matters is that GOP top brass is turning against Trump.

They're both bordering senile as well.

They don't seem so to me. They tend to embarass themselves in the media much less than your hero Trump.

I think it may happen much more quickly than I expected.

I wonder if Trump will have a meeting with them like Nixon did with Goldwater. Probably not. I'm guessing that Trump will hold out to the very end and actually get removed from office.

The Republicans turning against Trump?

It'll take more than this.  But when it does happen, like Shylock says, it'll be sudden.

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/may/17/trump-nixon-watergate-fbi-michael-flynn

"Support for Trump among Republicans remains resilient, while it’s commonly assumed that Nixon was instantly reviled. But polling data shows that, at the time rather than in hindsight, Nixon retained support, even as the end loomed. One month after senate hearings into Watergate began, Nixon enjoyed 76% approval ratings from Republicans (comparable to the 84% Trump scores with Republicans today).

Similarly, while plenty of us despair at the moral weakness of Republican leaders who stand by Trump, it’s worth recalling that many of their counterparts at the time were no less dogged in their loyalty, regardless of the evidence. Among those most stubbornly devoted to Nixon were future presidents George Bush and Ronald Reagan."

But, in the end, Nixon went down anyway. Maybe if he had even less shame and didn't stand down by himself, they would not have impeached him?

He DID "stand down by himself", that's what "Resigning" means.

Oh, you mean he only resigned when the articles of impeachment were being drawn up?  Fair enough.  Do you think Trump will be that accommodating?

Technically, Nixon was never impeached. When impeachment's on the table, the US becomes a parliamentary democracy and the impeachment/conviction votes become a No Confidence Vote like in the UK.

59 million people voted for him to be the President in 2008

We all know who Wabi-Sabi is. Some here have met him in person.

You President however have never identified anything about your person, except that you only present yourself yelling from the sideline.
