Dutch government formation breaks on immigration
After months of talks behind closed doors, the formation effort between Centre-liberals, Christian Democrats and Green Party has failed.
Major breaking point was the Green Party demanding more migration, something rejected by the sensible parties.
Options now are a very small majority with Orthodox Christians, or a minority cabinet that will try to get parliamentary support on varying alliances per subject. That would be my preference.
Some migrants are more desirable than others. I'm sure that if there were a wave of American liberal refugees, highly educated and skilled and secular, I'm sure that the Netherlands would be happy to have them.

The Greens are getting hammered all over Europe over their ridiculous immigration policies.

I think almost all Americans living in the Netherlands are considered liberal in the US, otherwise they wouldn't like to live here.
