They've given a vote of confidence to PostGres. Apparently lots of work moving Oracle and MSSQL databases to PG.

MSSQL has integrated R after MS bought the R company. PG has no such thing!

Having R "integrated" is of incredibly little value, and traditionally integration in the Microsoft sense is "we rolled in the installer". It is seldom a well thought out incorporation.

.NET was integrated years ago (and caused SQL server to be seriously delayed). No one uses it.

That's irrelevant. Amazon's profits come from carefully managed exploitation of cheap labour in sweatshop conditions, not from what DB they run on.
