HFT no longer sexy

Can't stop progress. UHFT is a thing of the past, more and more customers are buying sets capable of VHFT, making existing ones obsolete.

Darn, things change fast in HFT. It was UHFT in the morning, it's already XHFT by afternoon, at this rate it'll overflow by evening. Just hope it doesn't revert back to SHFT (HFT using smoke signals).

Microwave links have low latency, but also low bandwith.

Not true at all. Microwave links can get multi-gigabit bandwidth using off-the-shelf equipment anyone can buy.
