Y'all are a bunch of wankers!

Here's your peer review, har har

The guy's research is full of unjustified, pulled out of the ass assumptions as:

"We assume the frequency is limited by the Planck length lp, which is to say that we assume no wavelength can be shorter than the Planck length."

"Haug suggests that there are good reasons to assume that the Planck mass will dissolve into energy within a Planck second."

He doesn't offer any theory behind his assumptions, no experimental tests for them, nothing. It's just speculation which people do over a pint of beer in a pub. But it gets published in, har har har, peer reviewed journals. And cited by Forbes. I'll go shoot myself.

Where does the 3rd minutes in your post's subject line come from?

Mars is between 4 and 20 light-minutes away, do 3 minutes is off a bit.

There is probably a little time need for acceleration and deceleration if the thing being moved has any mass, but what do I know?

Sorry, not your subject line.  Forbes' subject line.

It's a ridiculous article.  Does he realize how much energy it would take to accelerate a payload to .999c, and then decelerate it back to 0?

Completely ridiculous.

Forbes caters to the managerial class, so now you know where their nutty expectations come from.
