I bet they'd invent a great language for smells.

Paleo diet debunked?

So me eating a lot of bread along with salad and vegetables soup is actually the normal and not a gigantic mistake which needs to be corrected?

Portuguese Neanderthals have recently been shown to have had a large vegetarian component in their diet, contrary to earlier Neanderthals in France.

From DNA analysis of the scale on their teeth.

Lotti, that tells you what they ate, not what was optimum.

Is there an optimum?

There are probably optimums depending on your desired outcome.

The best diet for longevity would be different to a diet for body building.

It is not what we put in our mouth that our metabolism absorbs.

What we put in our mouth is going into a large reaction vessel with bacteria and enzymes, where all kinds of transformations of the original input takes place.

We then feed from this living organic mixture, taking from it what is particularly suitable.

This internal organic mass is very stable in a healthy individual, and has a pretty good tolerance for diverse input, and the different bacteria can quickly adapt to pre-process different components.

Don't regard your diet as feeding yourself, but as growing this slurry inside, from which you yourself feed.

But that only works for people who can't handle the truth. Which is the large majority, I give you that.
