I bet they'd invent a great language for smells.

Just came back from McDonald for dinner. I am shocked.

I haven't been to the place for years. I ordered a Big Mac. While I was eating I notice something are missing.

1. No slice of tomato.
2. No slice of raw onion.
3. Two beef patties are so thin that I can't even use it like a frisbee throwing at someone.

Basically, they are even fucking with us down to the hamburger we pay!

It's supposed to have as default shredded lettuce, diced onions, 2 pickle slices.

If you want sliced onions they do offer that now as an upgrade. You can also ask for tomatoes. Some franchises will charge extra for one or both of those.

RP, when did they start skimming on tomato and onion?

Of do I confuse that with Burger King's Whopper?

It's not Obama's fault now. It will be Obama's fault in the future when the Muslim refugees become the majority and start implementing Sharia laws outlawing McDonald.

Here's a commercial from 1975.  The Big Mac does not have tomato.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dK2qBbDn5W0

Macca's is shit. The barebones BM contains sweet bun, beef patty, chopped onion, sauce and a horrible little pickle.  Everything else is extra but that's putting lipstick on a pig.

But worse is to come. The fries. They are an abomination.

Good heavens - their website does actually cough up after several minutes:

See?

Seriously, go almost anywhere else.

Before you ban McDonald's, maybe make it possible for half of America to afford to eat (and have access to eat) actual food first.

McDonald's is basically the Walmart of prepared food for people without enough money or time to prepare better.

Of course, there is literally nobody on this website who gives a fuck about that.

I worked at McDonald's for 3 years, our clientele was almost entirely low income, mostly seniors.

Fun Fact: Macca's in AU actually pays their employees a living wage, unlike McDonald's in the US.

Not by choice, I assure you. But they've avoided being caught up in, or caught at, the underpayment scams that have become a tawdry feature of franchise chains here.

Looking at you, 7-Eleven, amongst others.

"when did they start skimming on tomato and onion"

AFAIK, Big Macs have never had tomato or sliced onion by default.

Also, you can order a McDouble for $1.39 and say "no pickles or ketchup add special sauce, onion, and lettuce" and you'll get a Big Mac for $1.39.

You were confusing it with a Whopper. The Big Mac never had tomatoes. It has been reconstituted onions (on the 10-to-a-pound patties) since the 70s.

Whoppers are Hungry Jack's (Burger King).  Allegedly edible while blotto.

"Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles onions on a sesame seed bun"

That was the commercial.  No tomato, what do you think this is, Burger King?

You are right. I'm confused that with a Whopper. I haven't been eating fast food hamburger since that pink beef scandal until now.

I eat out WAY too much.

McDonald's is text book example of the power of marketing/advertising. Why do I say this?

Even though the food quality has declined, the customer service typically sucks, and the company has more competition than it ever has, plenty of customers still visit this restaurant on a daily basis.
